Can I attract someone specific? Does the Law work that way? I'm focusing on someone but I don't know if I can actually attract that person. Can I?

Answer: Monique,
This is an excellent question, and one that delves into more than just whether or not we can attract a certain person into our lives, but rather what control we have over other people in general.
Although it is not possible through the Law of Attraction to directly influence another person, it is possible to manifest your own desires by using the Law of Attraction, and that manifestation may or may not include a specific person.
Basically the way that the Law of Attraction works is that we "ask" for what we want by the vibrations that we send out into the Universe. The Universe does not understand words at all, but rather acts only on the vibrations that we produce based on the way that we feel. It then answers by putting people or circumstances in our lives that are in resonance with what we have asked for.
Please note the word resonance. To get something that is in resonance with what we want, the Universe will deliver the "yin vs. our yang". In other words, we receive whatever it is that we need in order to get whatever it is that we want. However, remember that the Universe is acting on our desires via the way that we feel, rather than what we say. For example:
Pretend this is a phrase that someone puts out to the Universe: "I want Bobby so bad that he is all I can think about. I want to see him all the time and feel his arms around me, and allow myself to float away on a cloud of utter happiness!" (p.s. - I've never written from a female's point of view before, so forgive me if that came out sounding corny!)
Now, if the paragraph above were actual words that were used, then those words in turn would evoke an emotional response in the person saying them. So, since the Universe responds only to the vibrations that are created as a result of our emotions, the words themselves are irrelevant, but the way the words make us feel is 100% relevant.
Since the person in our example wants Bobby so badly, the Universe will respond to the vibrations that she is putting out. They would probably be something along the lines of a strong desire for:
- Passion
- Love
- Intimacy
- Security
- Contentment
In putting out the verbal request to have Bobby, this person is actually looking for the emotions expressed above, or something similar. Sure, it would be nice if those emotions were experienced as a result of actually getting her hands on Bobby, but it isn't Bobby that she is really after, but rather the way that having Bobby will make her feel.
So, where does that leave us in answering the question of whether or not we can attract another person via the Law of Attraction?
The answer is to not focus on something as specific as one particular peron, but rather to focus on the way that having that person will make you feel.
Remember, the Universe provides people with what they want by giving them things that are in resonance with their desires. Although having Bobby may seem like the only desire that someone has, the Universe will find the shortest, fastest, most efficient route to get that person what they truly want, which is to feel the way they will feel with Bobby in their life.
Depending on many factors (most of which will be completely unseen by the person asking the Universe for something), the Universe may in fact deliver Bobby, or it may not. If Bobby himself is not resonating with a field of energy that is compatible with that person, then there is no way to "force" Bobby with the Law of Attraction. However, by thinking long, loving thoughts about the dreamy happiness that is actually desired, the Universe will deliver on that - with or without Bobby's help!
If you think of the Universe as being the grand galactic "order taker" for everyone on earth (and elsewhere), then you will see that the Universe cannot take away from one person in order to give to another. In order to believe in the Law of Attraction, you have to believe in the perfection of the system, even if that system doesn't seem to be working in your favor.
In all actuality, the system is indeed working in your favor, and in Bobby's favor, and in everyone else's favor as well. The grand balancing act of constantly giving people what they resonate for sometimes brings us exactly what we think we want, but that only happens if what we think we want matches what we are actually asking for with our feelings.
Great question, Monique!
