As far as losing weight and bodybuilding goes, how much emphasis do you put on food versus just believing that you can have the body you want from the law of attraction? I know that to bodybuild you need to follow a pretty strict regime but how much of it is really what you believe versus what you are eating? And...how much can you veer off the strict path (like enjoying deserts) before you start to see little results. Thanks so much for your answer.

Answer: Vivian,

What a GREAT question! It is one that has been debated many times since the Law of Attraction become a mainstream concept, and it is one that you have already partially answered for yourself:

"...how much of it is really what you believe..."

In the end, with physical fitness as well as with the Law of Attraction in general, it is our individual belief systems that come into play as much as - or even more than - our actual diet and exercise program.

We have been raised in a society where endless decades of research have been done on the effect of both diet and exercise on our level of physical fitness, whereas our ability to consciously create our lives is a fairly new concept (to most people). So, what we end up with is a serious tipping of the scales as far as our personal belief systems that lean heavily towards the fact that we need to exercise and eat right if we want to be healthy.

There is endless scientific data to back up such claims, and as an ex-personal trainer myself, I will not debate the validity of many of those concepts. However, if we are to believe - as well we should - that the human body is merely the physical manifestation of our spiritual selves, then it stands to reason that the physical body could be transformed by simply shifting the energy patterns that make up our bodies

There have been many documented cases of people who have spontaneously healed their bodies via the power of their belief systems, although the inability to replicate those circumstances in a "scientifically" sound manner has cast doubt on their validity. What is funny though, is the fact that even though the medical and scientific community cannot deny the fact that these "miracles" happen, they will also not fully endorse the fact that people in general have the power to heal themselves with only their minds.

In fact, you could take this entire concept one step further and say that if everything is composed of energy - and it is; and we can control energy with our thoughts - which we can; then by those standards we should be able to not only heal ourselves, but we should be able to manipulate our very environment! That is a discussion for another day, but the point I want to make is that according to the belief that human thought can control energy - including our own bodies - then Yes, it should be possible to lose weight or experience other health benefits using the Law of Attraction.

However, going back to what I said earlier about our belief systems, that is the road block that keeps us from actually being able to do this. Even if we consciously believe in concepts such as spontaneous human healing, or manipulating our bodies in order to lose weight, until we see irrefutable evidence of this, we will still have lingering doubts on a subconscious level that will keep us from being able to completely remove traditional medicine or traditional physical fitness techniques from our lifestyles.

Your best bet at this point in the game is to use a combination of both. In my eBook 'Mental Meltdown: Weight Loss Begins in the Mind!', I talk a lot about using the power of your mind in order to visualize the body that you wish to have, thus attracting both the people and the circumstances that will allow you to attain the body of your dreams. How much of the process boils down to simply attracting "traditional" methods vs. the molding of our bodies at a cellular level via the power of our thoughts depends on the individual in question and their own belief systems.

In short, it is possible to manipulate your body for weight loss and physical fitness benefit by using the Law of Attraction. The same basic LOA principles apply to the physical fitness process as to any other goal that you are attracting with the Law of Attraction; visualization, non-attachment to the outcome, powerful and positive feelings about the atttainment of the goal, and most of - a strong belief that you will succeed!

Excellent question, Vivian! With the knowledge that you now have, you can attack your physical fitness goals in the mental as well as the physical arena!
