Master List of Personal Development Bloggers

As Priscilla Palmer points out in her post Personal Development List, personal development is a large topic. It is a huge umbrella that covers many different concepts that people use to make improvements to their lives.

Given that the general term "personal development" covers so many topics, Priscilla had the wonderful idea to start compiling a master list of personal development bloggers, as well as bloggers who write about other concepts that we use to improve our lives.

However, in true blogosphere fashion, rather than just putting together the list, she is asking people who their favorite personal development bloggers are, and then she is going to put together a master list once it is all said and done.

A GREAT idea, Priscilla! My hat is off to you, and I'm happy to do my part to spread the love to some of the great personal development bloggers out there.

Priscilla has asked that each person who participates puts up a list of their 5 favorite personal development bloggers, and then let her know so she can compile a master list.

I encourage each of you to take part in this cataloging endeavor. Be sure to link back to Priscilla's original post, and also let her know when you've put together your post so she can add your favorite bloggers to the master list.

So, without any further adieu, here are the first 5 sites that Priscilla herself listed, and then my 5 additions (thanks for including me in your list, Priscilla!):

Priscilla's List:

Aaron Potts at Today is That Day

David Rogers at How to Have Great Self Confidence

Henrik Edberg at The Positivity Blog

Karen Lynch at Live The Power

Lyman Reed at Creating a Better Life

Aaron's Additions:

Christine Kane at ChristineKane.com

Edward Mills at Evolving Times

Rick Cockrum at Shards of Consciousness

Steve Olson at Steve-Olson.com

John Place at John Place Online

Also, for the record, Priscilla stole 2 of my answers. I am so gonna make her stand in the corner. :)

Hi Aaron! Thanks for putting my name on this list!

Just to clarify, my name is John Place, and the Web Site is “John Place Online” http://johnplaceonline.com

It’s confusing, I know. There’s a bar in my area called “John’s Place” and people sometimes mistake me for the proprietor. :)

    John,

I appreciate the heads up! There is either a fine line or a huge gap between the concept of a personal development blog and a bar. I’m totally sure it depends on the point of view of the observer, though! ;)~

I updated the post with the correct information, John, and thanks for keeping those great posts coming!

  3. Thanks for the additions Aaron! I’ve added them to the original list.

  4. aaron says:

Glad to chime in, Priscilla! I see that Lyman Reed, Edward Mills, and Rick Cockrum have all jumped on board as well, so I foresee your list growing very rapidly! :)

  5. TRCoach says:

This is great. Thanks very much. I am going through everyone on your list and Priscilla’s list. I’ll let you know when I add my own list to my blog. I have Dugg and Onlywired your article, added you to My Technorati faves and subscribed to your feed. Please submit your personal development articles to http://trcoach.corank.com/
and feel free to fave me at http://technorati.com/people/technorati/transitioncoach

    Thanks, Tom (TRCoach)

PS. So much to read on your blog, but I have to go - looking forward to reading about Ho’oponopono

    Tom,

Wow, thanks for jumping in with both feet in order to stay up to date with the Today is that Day content!

I very much appreciate your interest, and I appreciate you voting up the site on some of the social bookmarking sites.

I cruised over to Technorati via the link you left and added your site to my favs as well. I appreciate you making it easy on me! ;)
p.s. - The post “Do you Ho’oponopono?” has been one of the most popular articles on this site forever. Enjoy!

  7. Patricia says:

Thank you Aaron and Priscilla for this gift!
    I wish days were 72 hours long…

    :)))

  8. aaron says:

    Patricia,

Glad to be a part of the making of such a great list!

And yes, finding the time to read the massive amount of incredible content that is available is the real challenge! :)

  9. TRCoach says:

I have reposted your’s and Priscilla’s master list of persona development bloggers at my blog and added a search feature to search all these wonderful blogs. Thanks, Tom (TRCoach)

  10. aaron says:

    Tom,

Wow, that is TOTALLY awesome! Thank you so much for taking the time to put together that search feature - very cool stuff!

  11. I have to give a big kudos to Life Coach Priscilla Palmer for starting her Personal Development List and a thanks for recognizing The PDA Pro Blog. I have decided to publish the list on my site as well.

  12. aaron says:

    Rick,

Wow, your list is huge, too! I know there are some overlaps, but if I was reading this comment, I’d be checking out Tom’s list as well as Rick’s list to make sure that I got a chance to check out every single site.

Thanks a million for your contribution, Rick!

  13. Thanks Aaron! I was surprised to realize I added 12 bloggers to the list. It took me the better part of 4 hours to search my contact list of 4,000 people and then gather trackbacks for each of the 101 bloggers. Ouch! So much for my afternoon. Hee. Hee.

I checked out Tom’s site (TRCoach.com), but didn’t see his list. Have a great weekend!

  14. aaron says:

    Rick,

Wow! Well, I can’t speak for everyone, but personally I thank you very much for your time! I’ve spent a few of those 4+ hour sessions gathering nothing but information so I can appreciate the effort that you put forth on our behalf!

  1. [...] So Priscilla Palmer decided to make a master list of the personal development bloggers that aren’t self identified as personal development. These are the blogs that you and I read to aid and encourage us in our growth. Priscilla listed five blogs, one of which was Today is that Day by Aaron Potts. Aaron, bless his heart, also listed five blogs. Bless his heart, Shards was one of the five. [...]

  2. [...] Our emotions, negative and positive, are part of the wind. We normally don’t directly command them. They are responses that show us when our needs and wants are being met. We can use them to find out what changes we need to make in our lives, whether in the outer environment of our circumstances, or the inner environment of our beliefs. Thank you to all who have visited Shards in the past few weeks. I hope you have useful, and inspirational work here. I especially thank all who have linked to various posts.Aaron Potts of Today is that Day in Master List of Personal Development Bloggers [...]
