Personal Development for Women

If the testosterone enhanced "go get 'em team!" attitude that a lot of men take towards personal development leaves you begging for something that is not so in your face – yet equally powerful – then Debra Moorhead's Personal Development Retreat may be just what you've been looking for.

Debra herself has battled many of the same demons that women today are faced with, and she now uses her knowledge and experience to help other people via coaching services, consulting, motivational speaking, and live seminars.

I have been following Debra's writing for quite awhile, and have found her to be knowledgeable, insightful, and understanding of the challenges that people face. After hearing about her Personal Development Retreat to be held from May 30th to June 1st, 2008, I was thinking how wonderful it is for women to have an opportunity like this. In fact, I may do something similar myself for men at some point down the road, but in the meantime, Debra's upcoming activity looks like a real winner – and it's just for the ladies.

The event is going to be held at the French Quarter Inn, in Maysville, KY, and despite the stylish surroundings, Debra promises nothing but leisure, empowerment, and some quality time with other women who are also interested in personal development. 

The overall theme of the retreat is going to be a focus on harnessing the creative processes that are involved in creating the life of your dreams. As a big believer in our role as the conscious creators of our lives, I love how the very theme of the event speaks of personal empowerment, rather than rehashed goal setting techniques or dry productivity practices.

In addition, the retreat will include access to both indoor and outdoor activities, scheduled events and down time, and a loose atmosphere that allows all participants to get the most out of the event, while doing so on their own terms. Very cool.

Also, Debra has set up a myriad of different ways to attend the event, including a savings for advance registration, discounts if you live in the area and won't be staying at the hotel, and the option of saving money by sharing lodging expenses with other female participants. All of the rooms have hot tubs, and the food for the entire event is also covered.

It sounds like loads of fun, and it (almost) makes me wish that I was a woman! Great job, Debra – can't wait to hear all about it afterwards!
