Glad that you enjoyed it, Goldeneye.

There are so many things that people can do in order to bring success into their lives, but staying focused on the goals and the methods is critical if we want to see that success.

Very few things in life happen as "one-off" events. We need to consistently stay on task with any success system if we want to see the results.

Good article Aaron. I totally agree with you. I think people (including myself) just don't try hard enough and we tend to lose focus on our objectives wasting time and energy on secondary things.

Many thanks for the reading.

Steve,

Thanks for bringing up the daily writing and reading of the goals - that is another very powerful success system. As you said, we have that "pinball-like" focus, and that applies not only to our daily activities, but to our long-term plans as well.

By continually reminding ourselves of our goals - especially on a daily basis - we naturally lean towards doing things that bring those goals to fruition, rather than doing things that take us away from our desires.

Thanks for the comment, Steve!

I read somewhere that the average person looses there attention span every 6-10 seconds... so yes, people need to consistently and DELIBERATELY redirect their focus onto the things they desire to achieve. Otherwise they'll have "pinball-like" focus that will jump all over the place and never accomplish anything.

I found that writing and reciting my goals EVERY morning without exception keeps me laser focused on where I'm going. But thats just me. Meditation and visualization may work better for others.

Wonderful article Aaron!

Evelyn,

Absolutely - focusing on what you want is not only critical, but realizing the necessity for that is something that a lot of people need to do. Our lives get so hectic that the very lives we are trying to improve keep us from improving them!

It is only consistent focus on the positive changes that we want to create that then creates those changes. Just thinking about something once in awhile isn't going to cut it!

Great article, Aaron. It is so true! Many of us want instant results. We put in some effort and expect a miracle to happen. In actual fact, we are not as committed to success as we really ought to. Focus is key for success to happen!

John,

I'm with you 100% Most of what I write comes from my own life experiences, and there have been many times when I made it a priority to do things, only to find out later that there were better ways that I should have spent that time.

Knowing what to work towards using the various success systems is the first step to be sure!

Besides using some sort of system religiously, the hardest part is to realize that you might need to do things totally differently.

I mean that you need to put different items on your checklist. At least this was very difficult for me (and I could kick myself for wasting so much time, energy and money). Your 'ego' can be in your way really big time.
-- My 2 cents. Enjoy the weekend.

Thanks, Robin!

Yes, there is a huge difference between hoping and being certain, and that attitude shift can literally mean the difference between getting what you want, or not getting it. I'm glad I had this opportunity to remind people of that!

Hi Aaron - I really like your article.

"You are not visualizing something that you hope is going to happen, but rather something that you KNOW is going to happen." - It's great that you distinguish between HOPE and CERTAINTY - too often people don't realize the difference.

Cheers - Robin
