Eric,

A periodic review of where we are at with our goals is always a good idea. I reevaluate each day and each week, but then I also look back at the end of the month and see where I am at in relation to my goal for that year. It's great for re-igniting the desire to get things done on your path to success!

Good with a reminder!

Being a follower (maybe not the best pupil but anyways...) of the GTD methodology the monthly review always is a good time to review propositions made to oneself. And even better is that you can revaluate them and maybe even scrap some of them if they now don't make sense. I mean if they don't make sense???

Hi, Kerri.

James Arthur Ray often talks about how attaining our goals is actually something that we do for the personal growth that it takes to attain the goals, and I believe that.

Yes, the goals themselves are wonderful. However, if your life is that chaotic that setting goals is a challenge for you, then maybe leveling things out and sticking to a path - regardless of what happens - is something that you can think about working towards?

I am so bad at setting personal goals. It seems I never have the chance to reach them because my life is so cluttered with unexpected turns of events and it makes it hard to stay focused.

Adam,

I couldn't be happier about providing the oft-needed swift kick in the butt that we all need from time to time!

p.s. - I procrastinate on the cat box, too! ;)

This couldn't have come at a better time for me.

Like many, I set high and lofty new-year goals... Well, a month later, I'm still smoking, I still have trouble cleaning out my litter box, my budget is next-to-nothing (but has improved from less-than-nothing ;) ), and procrastination is still a problem for me.

It's time to re-think my goals and actually make plans. Thanks for the reminder that we need to keep up the motivation. :)
